Terence Jeffrey's was once nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in editorial writing after working as a fulltime editorial writer for the Washington Times. In 1991, Terry left the Washington Times to become the research director for Patrick Buchanan's Republican campaign against President George H.W. Bush. The following summer, he coordinated the campaign's efforts to ensure the approval of a conservative platform at its national convention in Houston.
In 1993, Terry became executive director of an educational foundation the "American Cause". Two years later he served as national campaign manager for Buchanan's second presidential campaign, formulating and executing the strategy that led Buchanan to underdog victories in the New Hampshire primary, and in the caucases of Alaska, Louisiana and Missouri.
Terry returned permanently to journalism in 1996, becoming editor of Human Events, the oldest conservative journal in the U.S.
Terry appears as a frequent guest on national television talk shows, such as MSNBC's "Hardball" and CNN's "Inside Politics." He has recently been seen discussing the 1996 campaign finance scandal, the Clinton impeachment scandal, the 1998 and 2000 elections, the Florida recount controversy and the war on terrorism, among other controversial subjects.
