Simon is president, chief creative officer, and founder of the human development company, Imagination Institute, Inc. Simon was nominated for Central Florida's "Top Business and Community Leader" and was selected by the Leukemia Society as its 2000 Central Florida "Man of the Year." Florida Trend business magazine did a full page feature story on Simon and selected him as its 2002 Trendsetter. His success is not by accident or phenomenon. His outstanding achievements are a result of 15 years of preparation and career experience.
Simon's professional career started with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts where he was selected "Manager of the Year". As a result of his success, he joined the Orlando Convention and Visitors Bureau, where he served as national account manager, responsible for promoting the city of Orlando to international associations, multi-national corporations, and global incentives companies.
Success and accomplishments at a national level set the foundation for Simon to be pursued by the world's number one entertainment conglomerate, the Walt Disney Company. He joined Disney in 1996 as senior sales manager. While there, Premier Convention Services honored him as their "Supplier of the Year." Simon progressed and was promoted swiftly through the Disney organization. In 1998, he was elevated to director of sales for the Resort Sales division. He led the team that handled all group travel contracts for countries in Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and Europe. As a result of his success in Resort Sales, he joined Disney Institute as a customized program consultant. During his tenure, he designed and delivered programs to groups at Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney World Resort� in Florida. Prior to leaving Disney in 2003, he was the new business development director/sales director for Disney Institute, where he engineered the sales effort for Fortune 500 companies and organizations worldwide.
A native of Buffalo, New York, Simon graduated Magna cum Laude from Life Christian University, where he earned a Bachelors degree in Theology. He graduated Summa cum Laude from Faith Christian University in Orlando, Florida where he earned a Masters of Arts degree in Theology. He is also a graduate of the Rollins College Executive Management Program. He serves on Board of Directors for the Greater Orlando Leadership Foundation. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Orlando Marine Institute and Florida Men of Integrity.
