Sam Ryan is a sportcaster who is recognized for her sideline work for CBS. Sam is based out of New York City where she works as a sports anchor and reporter for CBS Sports and a local television station. Prior to her role today, Sam has worked for WFAN Radio, Fox Sports Net, and News 12.
Ryan then joined ESPN and ABC Sports in 2003, serving as sideline reporter for their coverage of the National Hockey League and college football. In 2004, she started working on ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball. When Michele Tafoya took maternity leave, Sam took over as reporter for Monday Night Football. Then in 2005, she left ABC to take the job with CBS.
Sam's work has not gone unnoticed. In 1999, she won an Emmy Award for "Outstanding Series Feature" and also won an AP Award in 2000. When not reporting, she enjoys teaching and has even taught a course at Hofstra University.
Sam currently resides in Bay Terrace, New York with her husband and son.
