Ryan Burnham was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and has lived in San Francisco, Marin County, New York City and Los Angeles at various times throughout his life.
His love for carpentry stems from his mother's dream of owning a barn one day, and her interest in antique craftsmen tools. Ryan eventually made his mother's dream a reality when he built her a barn and stables. Today, Ryan builds high-end custom furniture and works in carpentry.
Ryan's other love is acting. He began his acting career on a fluke when a scout came to his high school and cast him as an extra in several projects. His first big break came from Channel One's President of Programming in New York, David Newman, who offered him a job as an anchor. Since then, he has hosted television shows such as the WB's Reality Check, NBC's 24/7 and PBS' Generational Forgetting, in addition to appearing on MTV's Undressed. Additionally, he has appeared in Black Hawk Down and had a lead role in Cactus Soup.
Currently residing in Los Angeles, Ryan calls himself a "country boy in the city," as his Southern roots come out with his love of hunting, fishing and trapshooting.
