As a teenager, Quddus became a volunteer coach, and organizer, of a midnight basketball program for street youth, at the YMCA. At the same time, his passion for music took him to the turntables as "DJ Prophet," in the local hip-hop scene, and he served as co-host and DJ of the 'Breakdown' show on the University of Ottawa's CHUO 89.1FM radio station.
Quddus returned to his birthplace and became the co-host of TV Ontario's new youth culture program, VOX. This was a vehicle for him to further discover his own interests and interview other youths on subjects including music, sports, drama, and teen issues.
Quddus also ventured into acting with roles in national commercials for McDonald's and Honda. He also traveled to Costa Rica where he co-starred in a Canadian travel-adventure show, "Globemonkeys". As Quddus became a Canadian TV personality, he also became one of Canada's most successful male models working for clients such as Nike, Seventeen Magazine, and Levis Jeans.
The combination of his talent and determination, make Quddus one of the most promising individuals in the US entertainment industry today. He is currently working on a variety of projects, and is the host of MTV US's Total Request Live.
