Oliver Stone is one of the best filmmakers in the history of motion picture.
Stone is consistently identified with his more political works "Platoon" and "Nixon".
Those works could be courtesy of Martin Scorcese. After serving in Vietnam, Stone enrolled at New York University, where he studied filmmaking under Martin Scorsese.
Afer NYu, Stone went to work in different capacities on a plethora of films.
But, it was in 1986 when Stone had his directorial breakthrough with his internationally acclaimed "Platoon". The film won him his first Best Director Oscar.
Years later came "The Doors", "JFK" and most recently, "Any Given Sunday".
Stone's films all have a certain "feel" to them, and this "feel" is evident, because, no other filmmaker possesses it.
