Nicole Richie is a socialite, author, reality television star, and actress.
She is best known for being the adopted daughter of singer Lionel Richie and for her role in reality show The Simple Life also feautring Paris Hilton.
Richie has also made appearances in films as well as on Madtv on Fox. Nicole's first major acting role was in 2005 when she landed a supporting role as cheerleader "Kelly Stepford" in the comedy Kids In America. She is a former model for Bongo Jeans and currently serves as the face of Jimmy Choo. She has also been promoting the Diet version of the soft drink Dr Pepper.
Recently, Nicole authored a semi-autobiographical novel titled, The Truth About Diamonds. Though it is loosely based on her life, the book is mostly fictional.
Currently, Richie is working on a music album whose release has yet to be announced.
It is rumoured that she will be joining the cast of The OC in its fourth season.
