She was born December 15, 1966 in North Plainfield, New Jersey and graduated from Rutgers University. Her husband is in the FDNY, but has done a few guest shots on Third Watch, other shows, and one film. Nevertheless because of his main occupation she described her own experiences, as the wife of a firefighter, in their special 9/11 episode. She enjoys boxing and reading.
Outside of Third Watch she had a small role in Woody Allen's Sweet and Lowdown, a supporting role in the psychological thriller Chasing Sleep, and has done theatrical work. Her TV presence began with guest appearances on Law & Order.
