Jones is an American southern rap artist who began as a part of Swishahouse, who then left to be the owner of Ice Age Entertainment. Recently, Jones announced his return to Swishahouse to distribute Ice Age.

Mike Jones has become well-known for his unique repetition of his own name throughout his songs. Many of his songs contain the phrases "Mike Jones!, Who!, Mike Jones," or "Who is Mike Jones", references to his record company Swishahouse and references to his albums in collaborations. His major promotional gimmick is to sell and hand out shirts with his cell phone number on them, as well as shouting out his cell phone number throughout his mixtapes and albums, encouraging fans to call him on his mobile phone. Mike Jones has been involved in a high profile beef with former Swishahouse labelmate Chamillionaire. While Jones states that Chamillionaire dissed him out of jealousy for his success, Chamillionaire has accused Jones of slander and devoted an entire disc of his 3-CD mixtape Mixtape Messiah to dissing him, referring to Jones as "Dyke Jones".

Recently, however, Chamillionaire has contemplated working with Jones again and ending any friction between the two. Jones is the owner of his own label, Ice Age Entertainment. The artists range from underground artists such as CJ Mello and Lil Bran to mainstream acts such as Lil Mo and D4L.

Mike Jones has his own club which is run by Ice Age Entertainment. The main attraction features "Celebrity Sundays" in which a well-known celebrity will make an apperance.
