Maury Povich is best known for his talk show Maury. The show most frequently focuses on debates over a child's paternity, unusual illnesses, makeover stories, obese babies, and little people. The show is currently in it's 8th season.
Maury was a news reporter and sportscaster in Washington, D.C for one year. A year later in 1967, he became the host of the popular midday talk show, Panorama. It was this show that brought Maury some national recognition.
He also served as president of the New York Chapter of the National Television Academy for two consecutive terms and hosted a short-lived classic game show, Twenty One.
On January 7, 2006, Povich co-hosted a weekend news program on MSNBC with his wife Connie Chung. Maury owns his own production company by the name of MoPo Productions Inc.
