Mark O'Meara is a professional golfer best known for his play in the mid 1980's to the late 1990's. Most of his wins have come in this time period.
While on the PGA Tour, Mark has won 16 events, including two majors. Both of his majors came in 1998 at the Masters and The Open Championship. That same year, he won the World Matchplay Championship.
O'Meara is known for competing outside the United States more often than most leading American golfers, and has won tournaments in Europe, Asia, Australia and South America. He is known to be one of the most popular golfers in international golf.
Most recently, O'Meara has begun to develop a golf course design business.
