The recipient of numerous awards, Lisa Myers received a Hess Report Award for campaign coverage in 2000, and she was a contributor to the "Nightly News" broadcast that won the Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Newscast for its broadcast the day after the November election. In 1998, "Vanity Fair" recognized Lisa Myers as one of the 200 Most Influential Women in America. She also received a 1990 Headliner Award, a 1988 Clarion Award for Women in Communications.
LisaMyers received her Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from the University of Missouri in 1973, and she attended the Institute on Comparative Political and Economic Systems at Georgetown University.
