Lindsey Jacobellis was the 2004 World Cup overall champion in snowboardcross (SBX), going undefeated for the entire season. Lindsey was nominated for "Sportswoman of the Year" by the Women's Sports Foundation in 2004. Jacobellis is the 2005 World and U.S. National champion in SBX. She is also a three-time SBX Winter X Games gold medalist (2003-2005).
Lindsey Jacobellis gained a lot of publicity through the ubiquitous Visa Check Card commercials that aired on television during the months before the 2006 Winter Olympics.
Jacobellis enjoys wakeboarding, riding her ATV on her family's property in Vermont, playing the piano and teaching little kids how to snowboard.
