Leslie Segrete first tasted her artistic ability when she was 4 and her mother taught her how to sew. At 8, she was selling crafts outside instead of lemonade. After her architect father showed her she could make a living out of her abilities, she knew it was right for her. She graduated from Hofstra University in 1997 with a degree in Drama with an emphasis in scenic design and a minor in anthropology, and graduated from French Culinary Institute in 2000. She even got an ACTF (American College Theatre Festival) nomination for best student scene design Before going to work on TLC's While You Were Out, she worked as a scene designer and creator for numerous Broadway shows and TV guest sets. She loves working with her hands, which is evident in her work on WYWO and her love of cooking. When not on the road with WYWO, she lives in New York with her husband.
