Lee Trevino began play on the PGA Tour in 1967 and soon after, he claimed his first Major title, winning the 1968 U.S. Open at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York.
Trevino scored 29 victories on the PGA Tour and won six majors. Trevino was one of the world's leading players for more than 15 years. At 44, Trevino became one of the oldest men to win a Major when he took the 1984 PGA Championship. When Trevino retired in 1985, he was the third highest money winner in PGA Tour history.
Throughout his playing days, Trevino also won more than 20 unofficial professional and international tournaments. Trevino also topped the Senior Tour money list in 1990 and 1992. Trevino played for six different US Ryder Cup teams.
