The Dallas Cowboys released Larry Allen in March 2006 after 12 years with the organization. Allen quickly agreed to terms with the San Francisco 49ers. Allen was drafted by Dallas in the 2nd round (46th overall) of the 1994 NFL Draft. He became the first NFL player ever selected from Sonoma State University.
At 6'-3" and 340 pounds, Allen may physically be one of the strongest men to have ever played in the NFL. Allen boasts an assisted bench press of 700 lbs and a partial squat of 900 lbs on his weightlifting resume. This super human strength, combined with his famous on-field aggressiveness, has made Allen one of the All Time Great offensive linemen in NFL history.
Allen was a member of the Dallas Cowboys' Super Bowl Champion team in 1995, is an eight-time All-Pro and has represented the NFC in the Pro Bowl in ten of his thirteen seasons, including seven consecutive trips to Hawaii.
Bob Lilly is the only Cowboy with more Pro Bowl appearances. Allen also won the ESPN's "Strongest Man Award" during the Pro Bowl weekend in 2006.
