Kirstie Alley's big break came in 1987 when she became the female lead in the long-running hit NBC sitcom "Cheers".  She was cast as neurotic.overachieving Rebecca Howe. Her success on the small screen led to a movie role in "Look Who's Talking" and it's sequels "Look Who's Talking Too" and "Look Who's Talking Now".

Kirstie gained respect as a dramatic actress in 1994 with her brilliant Emmy-winning performance in "David's Mother". The movie was about a disheveled woman raising a mentally-challenged son.

She was the executive producer and also starred in the ABC drama "Suddenly". Kirstie co-starred with Tim Allen as a married couple in the comedy film "For Richer or Poorer".  She also starred in the sitcom "Veronica's Closet".

Besides appearing on numerous awards and tribute specials, Kirstie has continued to appear in a variety of projects.  The actress became the pitchwoman in a series of commercials for the home furnishing company Pier 1.  Kirsite Alley also became a spokeswoman for the weight loss system Jenny Craig.
