Judges of TV show American Idol were impressed by Kimberly Locke's voice, passing her through to the next round. She was eventually chosen to participate in the show in December of 2002. Kimberly finished 3rd on the shows competition but that didn't keep her from signing a record deal. On May 4, 2004, she released her debut album 'One Love' under Curb Records. Kimberly Locke has since released four singles, three of which went on to become adult contemporary hits. Locke is currently touring extensively through the nation, including singing at half-time shows of WNBA games and performing in concerts.
Her second album, 'Based On A True Story' was released in June of 2006. There is a Christmas album in the plan also scheduled to be released in 2006. Lane Bryant will sponsor her upcoming tour.
