Jillian Hamilton runs the website Planet Poetry (formerly the Poet’s Garret) at and hosts the Live Poets Society gatherings at her home.
Now that her sons have left home, she finds herself at a loss for companionship and a little help around the house. "I am a 50 year old, moderately physically handicapped woman, a great lover of the arts, most especially poetry and literature,” she says. “I am seeking a live-in companion with similar interests, a non-smoker with a driving license and no encumbrances, to help me with light housework, a few physical needs, shopping etc. My lifestyle is very relaxed and happy, full of fun and activity." Through Planet Poetry, Jillian hopes to encourage local and international poets to participate actively in keeping the site vibrant and interesting by contributing their work, comments and input. Regular updates of all the "pages" -- one where poet's work is displayed, another containing information about events, publishers, websites, a third for longer dissertations and discussions about poetry and a page for kid's poems and comments -- will ensure that there is always something there worth "visiting".
