Jay Bilas is a basketball analyst for ESPN and CBS.
He is a graduate of Duke University where he earned his degree in Political Science in 1986. While at Duke, he was a four-year starter on the men's basketball team leading them to the championship game in 1986. He was drafted in the sixth round of the 1986 NBA Draft by the Dallas Mavericks. However, he never played a game in the NBA.
He began his broadcasting career at Duke, hosting a show on the university's TV station. In 1995 he joined ESPN as a college basketball analyst. He makes frequent appearances on SportsCenter, ESPNews, and ESPN Radio.
In 2003, he joined CBS as a game analyst for the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.
When not reporting, Jay also practices law. While at Duke, he also received his law degree. He currently lives in Charlotte, N.C. with his wife and two children.
