Heidi Klum was only 18 years old when she entered a competition in "Petra" magazine called "Model '92". Her success in the contest became a life-altering event as it put her on her path to becoming a famous and beautiful model.
After she was quickly signed to an agency, modeling offers poured in and Klum modeled in fashion capitals such as Paris and Milan. She appeared in various print advertisements, including: Bonne Bell, Finesse, Gerry Weber, Givenchy's Amerige, and I-N-C.
Heidi Klum hit the big time when she appeared in the Victoria's Secret advertising campaign. Klum became one of the coveted and adored Victoria's Secret Angels.This position pushed her transition from model to supermodel.She soon joined the ranks of super models side by side with Yasmeen Ghauri, Tyra Banks, Helena Christensen, and Stephanie Seymour.
Klum has appeared on the covers of the magazines "Bride's", "Cosmopolitan", "Self", "Glamour", and "Mademoiselle".However, none can compare to the recognition she received as the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition's 1998 cover girl.
Heidi Klum's visits to "The Letterman Show" and "SpinCity" would make her fans wonder if a second career in acting was soon to come. She is currently signed with Elite Model Management and continues to model and pursue her acting career. Most recently Heidi Klum hosted the reality TV series "Project Runway".
