Harold Ramis is a well known actor, director and writer. He is best known for his acting roles in Ghostbusters and Stripes.
After graduating from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri his first job was as a mental-ward orderly. He later earned a job with Playboy magazine as a joke editor.
He has acted in movies such as, As Good As It Gets, Airheads, Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters II, and Groundhog Day. When not acting, he also enjoys directing movies. He has directed Caddyshack, Analyze This, Analyze That, Groundhog Day, and National Lampoon's Vacation.
He has also performed with Chicago's Second City improvisational comedy troupe and the Broadway revue National Lampoon's Lemmings. Ramis was also a writer and performer on the SCTV television series.
In 2004 he was inducted into the St. Louis Walk of Fame.
