George Lopez is best known as the writer, producer, co-creator and star of the sitcom The George Lopez Show.

Lopez has earned kudos for his performance in HBO's drama, Real Women Have Curves, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2002. It received tremendous reviews as well as the prestigious Audience Award.

George maintains an extremely active schedule as a stand-up comedian, and has sold out virtually every top comedy club in the nation. He has also performed at such prestigious venues as the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, the Majestic Theatre in Dallas and San Antonio, the Shoreline Amphitheater in San Francisco, the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles, and the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado.

Lopez has been the recipient of the National Hispanic Media Coalition Impact Award as well as the Manny Mota Foundation Community Spirit Award. He was also named Honorary Mayor of Los Angeles for his fundraising efforts benefiting earthquake victims in El Salvador and Guatemala.

George has been featured in the drama Bread and Roses and numerous television appearances including, Fidel, Frank McKluskey, Good Morning America, The View, Craig Kilburn, Live with Regis and Kelly, and Resurrection Boulevard. George frequently serves as the host to Univision's Loco Comedy Jam.

Lopez currently has his own charity, The George & Ann Lopez-Richie Alarcon Care Foundation, to which he devotes much of his time to. He also works as a spokesperson for high-profile charities and foundations like the LAPD's "Stop the Violence" program.
