Gary Koch is a professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour, and Champions Tour.
He made a name for himself at the age of 16 when he became the youngest player to win the Florida Open and went on to win three straight Florida State Junior titles from 1968 to 1970. He attended the University of Florida where he became a three-time first team All-American and a member of the 1973 NCAA Championship Team at Florida.
Gary's professional career began in 1975 when he joined the PGA TOUR. Over the next 15 years, Gary competed regularly on Tour and won six events. In preparation for the Champions Tour, Gary played some on the Nationwide Tour. In the 2002 season, he began his career on the Champions Tour where he has yet to win a tournament.
He began sportscasting in 1990 when he joined the team of ESPN working Champions Tour telecasts. After seven years with ESPN, he joined NBC Sports as a golf analyst covering the PGA Tour, Ryder Cup matches, and USGA major tournaments.
Today, Gary resides in Tampa, Florida where he currently owns his own golf course design and development business.
