At the age of nine, Fernanda Tavares began to appear in local shows in Brazil and at age 13 she won the "Elite Look of the Year."
By the age of 17, Tavares was appearing on the covers of fashion magazines such as L'Officiel Paris, Deutsch, Marie Claire and Vogue Paris. She also went on to appear in other popular magazines, including Cosmopolitan, ELLE, Allure, and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
Fernanda has been walking down catwalks for the world's biggest designers for the past eight years. These include Chanel, Emanuel Ungaro, Versace, Blumarine, Christian Lacroix, Chloe, Prada, Valentino,Salvatore Ferragamo, John Galliano, Yohji Yamamoto, Sonia Rykiel, and Missoni among others.
Tavares has promoted brands such as Versace, Chloe, Giorgio Armani, Louis Vuitton, Mano, Nine West, Elite, Zoomp, Ralph Lauren and Gap Jeans.Tavares regularly models for Victoria's Secret, and has also recently signed a deal with Guerlain perfumes company.
Aside from her modeling career, Fernanda also works as a VJ for MTV Brasil.
