Dita von Teese was born as Heather Renee Sweet on September 28, 1972
in Rochester, Michigan. By the age of 5, she was trained as a ballet
dancer and a costume designer.
At the age of 15, she began
working in a lingerie store, leading up to her job as an exotic dancer
at 19. Then she became a fetish model. However, she individualized
herself by Betty Page's pinnup style in photo shoots. By 1991, she was
in Playboy Magazine.
In 2004, Teese married Marylin Manson and divorced him on January 5, 2007.
