Christopher Darden joined the Los Angeles District Attorney's office in 1980 and was selected as one of the key prosecutors in the infamous O.J. Simpson trial. Despite the fact that Darden had little trial experience, he was selected to assist Marcia Clark in Simpson's prosecution. In bringing Darden on, the prosecution hoped to dispel the view that this matter was a racist "white against black" prosecution. 

Darden has written a book about the trial and hasn't given up on the law just yet he has accepted a position as a professor at the Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles.

Since the O.J. Simpson trial, Christopher Darden has been experiencing a different kind of drama in his life, he has tried his hand at acting. He has appeared in the TV movie "One Hot Summer Night" and a "Touched by an Angel" episode. He is currently working on a feature film based on his book, "In Contempt." He has also co-authored two fictional novels."
