Cheryl Miller is a former basketball player and coach, and is considered to be one of the best female players in the history of the game. She started her playing days at Poly High School in California where she was a four-year letter winner. She was also the first male or female athlete to be named an All-American by Parade magazine four times.
Miller took her game to the University of Southern California where she was a four-time All-American and the Naismith College Player of the Year three times. She also led her team to two NCAA titles where she was named MVP both times.
After college, she led the U.S. team to a gold medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics and was also a member of the gold medal teams for the 1983 Pan American Games and the 1986 Goodwill Games.
After her playing career was over, she went back to USC as an assistant head coach for five seasons and eventually became head coach for two seasons. When the WNBA came into existence, Cheryl became the head coach for the Phoenix Mercury.
Today, Cheryl can be seen on ABC, TNT, and ESPN as a sideline reporter in the NBA.
