Carson Daly is best known for his days as an MTV VJ. Carson began his career when he decided to leave Loyola Marymount University after one year and take an internship opportunity with a Palm Springs radio station. He soon became the station's disc jockey.
In 1994, Daly took a job at Live 105 in San Francisco. One year later, he was offered the afternoon position in San Jose working for the radio station KOME. His first assignment was to cover the 1995 MTV Video Music Awards in New York City. He was only at KOME for one year until he moved on to become DJ at the popular Los Angeles radio station KROQ.
In 1997, Daly first appeared on MTV as a "video jockey", or VJ, and the following year he became the host of Total Request Live. Today, Carson can be seen hosting his late night television show "Last Call with Carson Daly." Carson also hosts the syndicated daily top-10 countdown Most Requested, which airs on primarily Top 40 radio stations. He is also an executive producer of his own company, Carson Daly Productions.
