Carol Duvall lives in Michigan she only travels to California to tape her show. She says that her Michigan home gives her the peace she always longed for. Carol lives on Lake Michigan, she has no lawn or garden so she enjoys looking out across the lake which gives her a sense of home and serenity. 

Duvall has taped dozens of episodes each year since the series began. Carol's work has been nonstop. The series has filmed more than 1000 episodes.

Carol speaks very freely about what she does to wisely use her downtime. She says she is an avid reader and loves to read mystery novels.  

Carol is always on the run and doesn't take breaks, so her producers make her take a break once a week for a massage.  Carol thinks that having her regular massages helps her to continue at the pace she keeps and helps her to stay healthy. Carol was a dedicated downhill skier but had to give up that hobby after having to have hip surgery.  

Carol's family plays an important part of her life.  She lost a daughter-in-law a few years ago and ever since the rest of the family has not wanted to spend Christmas at her house, so each Christmas they go on a different family adverture.

Carol's  continues to forge ahead and accept new challenges. When her show ends s this fall, she will go to the Shop At Home Network.  With extra time on her hands she plans to write another book.
