Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake knew he wanted to be a wrestler early on.
Brutus
started weight training seriously at age 17 with Terry Bollea, aka Hulk
Hogan. At age 20, Brutus left junior college to become a pro wrestler
with Hulk. Billed as "Terry and Eddy Boulder," a brother wrestling
team, Brutus' first big break came in 1983 in New York, where he joined
the World Wresting Federation.
This
was the birth of "Brutus Beefcake." In 1987 during Wrestlemania 3's
match-up of Roddy Piper and Adrian Adonis, Brutus became known as "the
Barber" when he helped Roddy hold down Adrian and shave his head. In
1993, Brutus jumped ship and joined forces with the World Championship
Wrestling organization, where he wrestled until the turn of the century.
Brutus
went on to appear in numerous shows as Hulk's bodydouble and stunt
double in the TV series, Thunder in Paradise. He also had a role in the
made-for-TV TNT movie series Shadow Warriors 1 and 2.
