April Heinrichs was a United States soccer player and is currently a head coach for the women's soccer team at the University of California-Irvine.
April's soccer career took off at the University of North Carolina where she was named National Player of the Year twice and earned All-American First team honors three times. After her playing days were over, April began her coaching career.
She coached at Princeton University, the University of Maryland, the University of Virginia, the U.S. Soccer Team, and now at the University of California Irvine. While at the University of Maryland, April earned Atlantic Coast Conference Coach of the Year honors.
In 1998, she became the first female soccer player inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame.
