Al Joyner is a Track and Field legend who won a Gold Medal in the triple jump at the 1984 Olympics(Los Angeles), becoming the fist American in 80 years to win a gold in the event.
Al Joyner has also been a recipient of the honored Jim Thorpe Award, given once every four years to the best Olympic Field Event competitor on the U.S. team.
Al Joyner and his sister, Jackie Joyner Kersee, became the first siblings to win a medal in the same Olympic games in U.S. team history.
After the tragic death of his wife, track legend Florence-Griffith Joyner, he began traveling the world promoting her book, "Running for Dummies".
Al Joyner is currently a coach for the UCLA Track team.
