Adewale Akinnoye is best known for his role as the criminal Simon Adebisi in the popular HBO prison series "Oz". He is most recently recognized for playing Mr. Eko on the second season of ABC's survivor drama "Lost".
Adewale has appeared in several films including, " Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls ", "Congo"," The Mummy Returns", "The Bourne Identity", and most recently 50 Cent's movie, "Get Rich or Die Tryin'".
He was born in London, but Adewale's parents are from Nigeria. He is fluent in several languages that include English, Italian, Yorùbá (the language of his parents' tribe), and Swahili.
