Keith Olbermann is one of the most recognized sports and political commentators and writers. Recently, he hosted a later afternoon show on ESPN2 and TSN2 called Olbermann, from July 2013 until July 2015 as well as being the studio host of TBS's Major League Baseball postseason coverage.

Keith is a man who knows how to turn a word into something that really means something. The New York native is perhaps best known from his days on ESPN SportsCenter in the 1990's when his witty lines and carefully phrased insights captured the imagination of sports fans around the country.

He has been much more than just the host of television's most popular sports highlight program, he hosted ABC Radio Networks Speaking of Sports and Speaking of Everything shows in 2001. The programs, originated by Howard Cosell, were revived by Keith Olbermann and ABC last year.

Olbermann spent the first 20 years of his career in sports journalism. He was a sports correspondent for CNN and for local TV and radio stations in the 1980s, winning the Best Sportscaster award from the California Associated Press three times. He co-hosted ESPN's SportsCenter from 1992 to 1997. From 1998 to 2001, he was a producer and anchor for Fox Sports Net and a host for Fox Sports' coverage of Major League Baseball.

In 1999, his pre-game show won a Sports Emmy for Best Studio Show. And to prove his forte is in his writing and not just his broadcasting, his book "The Big Show," about his work on SportsCenter, was hit with the reading public.

Keith captured a Gold Medal in the 2002 New York Festivals - Radio Programing Awards for Sports Commentary / Analysis for his Speaking of Sports program. He has won three Edward R. Murrow Award including one for Best Newswriting for commentaries he delivered for ABC News Radio in the days immediately following the terrorist against the United States on September 11th.

Following his career in sports, he became a noted political commentator on MSNBC, esbalishing a niche for his pointed criticism of right-wing or conservative politicans and public figures. He also contributed to CNN's NewsNight with Aaron Brown.  He was the chief news officer of the Current TV network and the host of the Current TV weeknight political commentary program, Countdown with Keith Olbermann, until March 30, 2012, a program he hosted with the same title and a similar format on MSNBC from March 2003 to January 2011.
