Sally Jessy Raphael hit the big time in 1983 when she began hosting the half-hour talk show "In Touch with Sally Jessy Raphael" from St. Louis. The show went national within six months. Within four years, the show's headquarters relocated to the East Coast.
Sally has been particularly successful with reuniting lost loved ones on her show. The show presented various topics, each that sparked interest or touched the hearts of her viewers.
In 1989, Sally won a Daytime Emmy Award as "Outstanding Talk Show Host". The show won an Emmy a year later.
She occasionally did cameos as herself in the films "Resident Alien", "The Addams Family" and "Fatal Flaw". Sally made her TV acting debut playing a judge in "No One Would Tell". Sally has also branched out into producing.
