Matt Kuchar's Biography:
Matt Kuchar is an American professional golfer. He has played on both the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour.
Kuchar attended Georgia Tech where he was a member of the golf team. While at Georgia Tech, he was a two-time first team All-American. In 1997, he won the US Men's Amateur Championship and just a year later won the Fred Haskins Award as the nation's top collegiate golfer. At both the 1998 Masters and U.S. Open he finished as the low amateur.
In 2000, Matt turned professional and earned his first victory on the PGA Tour in 2002 at the Honda Classic. As of 2006, Matt is playing on the Nationwide Tour. He did not qualify to continue play on the PGA Tour after failing to earn enough money. He has won just one event on the Nationwide Tour, although he has been featured in the top 50 of the Official World Golf Rankings.
