Lanny Wadkins's Biography
Jerry Lanston "Lanny" Wadkins, Jr. was born in Richmond, Virginia and attended Wake Forest University.
Wadkins won the 1970 U.S. Amateur Championship and turned professional in 1971. Wadkins won the PGA Championship in 1977. In 1992, Wadkins achieved his twenty-first and final PGA Tour victory at the Canon Greater Hartford Open.
Wadkins scored eight appearances for the United States Ryder Cup teams. Wadkins now divides his time between The Champions Tour and broadcasting work with CBS.
