Curly Neal is the original ambassador of basketball. He was also one of the most popular players in the Harlem Globetrotter's history.
Neal played for the Globetrotters for 22 years during which time he traveled to perform in 97 countries at more than 6,000 basketball games. A truly magical shooter and dribbler, he was always known for his astonishing ball-handling ability, but his exhibitions prove he was one of the purest shooters to ever play the game. He had a special knack for hitting shots from beyond the mid-court mark.
Aside from his basketball career, Curly is also a Television personality. He has made guest appearances on the Nickelodeon Children's New York, Comic Strip Live, Totally Hidden Videos, Entertainment Tonight and MTV as well as NBA inside Stuff, NBA Stay in School Jam, and the 1992 NBA All-Star Game pre-game show.
His special appearances also include, "The Tonight Show", "The Merv Griffin Show", "Good Morning America", and "PM Magazine". Neal also played a starring role in a television series that aired from 1973 to 1974, "The Harlem Globetrotters Popcorn Machine" and has appeared in numerous TV commercials and print ads throughout his career.
