Calvin Trillin is known as a "classic American humorist." He has an ironic hilarius style which has humored many watching his guest appearances on "The Tonight Show" and "Late Night with David Letterman."
When Trillin writes and speaks he has an unadorned point of view which comes from his deep roots of his Midwest upbringing. In all of his writings he has never stopped writing about his hometown or the restaurant his father ran while Trillin was growing up.
Currently a trustee of the New York Public library, Trillin has served as a trustee of Yale University and was a long time staff writer for The New Yorker. He has also written and presented two one-man shows at the American Place Theatre in New York.
