A highly successful career goaltender, Andy Moog won three seperate stanley cup championships before settling into his current position as the assistant coach for the Dallas Stars.
Among his numerous accomplishments, Andy Moog earned the 1989-90 NHL season William M. Jennings Trophy for fewest total goals against the team during the regular season. His extensive experience as a goaltender is demonstrated through his trajectory with the WCHL's Kamloops Chiefs, WHL's Billings Bighorns, CHL's Wichita Wind, NHL's Edmonton Oilers, Boston Bruins, Dallas Stars, Montreal Canadians and the Canadian national men's hockey team.
Moog was selected to play in the NHL All Star game 3 times in his career; While with the Edmonton Oilers (1985-86), the Boston Bruins (1990-91) and also with the Dallas Stars (1996-97).
During his mid and late career years with the NHL, Andy Moog served as a Player-Vice President of the NHLPA (NHL Player's Association). Andy served as an outspoken voice for players during the April 1992 Players Strike as well as the 1994 NHL Lockout.
On August 19, 2005, Moog was appointed by Team Canada to serve as the goaltending consultant for the 2006 Winter Olympics Canadian national men's hockey team.
