Bill Callahan's Biography:
Bill Callahan is a former head coach in the NFL and current head coach in college football.
He began his coaching career in 1980 as a graduate assistant at the University of Illinois before being promoted to full time assistant in 1981, coaching tight ends, offensive line, quarterbacks and special teams through 1986. He then went on to coach at Northern Arizona University as offensive line coach and then to the University of Wisconsin where he won three Rose Bowls.
Callahan was named the Oakland Raiders offensive coordinator where he spent four seasons before being named head coach prior to the 2002 season. He led the Raiders to the 2002 AFC Championship Game and a berth in Super Bowl XXXVII in his first season as a head coach, making him just the fourth rookie head coach in NFL history to do so.
Today, Bill is the head coach for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
