Pulitzer Prize-Winning Journalist Charlie Savage Keynote IPFW Omnibus Lecture Series in November

Indiana University - Purdue University has an impressive list of individuals lined up to participate in their Ominbus Lecture Series this year.  The lectures kick off on September 8th with former presidential candidate Jeb Bush. 

The next speaker on the list is Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Charlie Savage.  He will make an appearance on campus November 10th at 7:30 p.m. 

Tickets for his presentation titled, "Power Wars: Obama, Bush and the Post 9/11 Presidency", become available October 24th.  The series is in its 22nd year and each evening will be held in the Rhinehart Music Center.  

Savage serves as the Washington correspondent for The New York Times.  He also previously worked in the Washington bureau for the Boston Globe and was a reporter for the Miami Herald. 

Savage is the author of two books, which both cover post 9/11 effects on politics.  In addition to the Pulitzer Prize, he has received several other highly-regarded honors like the American Bar Association's Silver Gavel Award and the Gerald R. Ford Prize for Distinguished Reporting on the Presidency. 

At Georgetown University, Savage has shared his expertise as a co-teacher in a seminar on the Constitution and national security.  He is a graduate of Harvard College and also holds a master's degree from Yale Law School.
