Bestselling Author Anne Rice Begins Stops on Latest Book Signing Tour

Bestselling author Anne Rice is back out on the road promoting her new book, "Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis." She kicked off the tour on Tuesday at Molloy College Theater in Rockville Centre, New York.

Rice made a couple of appearances in New York City as well. Tomrrow, she begins her West Coast swing with a stop at Aquarium of the Bay at Pier 39 in San Francisco, California. 

Rice has seven other book signing events in California and Arizona. She wraps things up in La Jolla at Warwicks on December 16th. 

In 1976, Rice wrote her first novel, Interview with the Vampire. She has since written over 30 books and become a bestselling author. 

Rice's books have sold nearly 100 million copies. The Vampire became a major Hollywood film in 1994 starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. 

Rice was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana and many of her books are set in the city. She holds bachelor's and master's degrees from San Francisco State University.
