One of the U.S.'s most recent military heroes will be holding a special presentation at the Coweta Political Forum next month.  Kris Paronto will speak at the forum on September 24th.

The event is being held at Crossroads Church in Newnan, Georgia.  In addition to the speech, Paronto will also sign copies of his new book, "13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi".

There is certainly great anticipation of having Paronto come and speak.  It should be an interesting behind-the-scenes account of one of our most highly-publicized recent military exchanges.

In 2012, Paronto was one of six American security operators who protected those stationed at the U.S. embassy in Benghazi.  He is a former Army Ranger and was serving as part of the CIA annex security team at the time of the attack.

Paronto spent four years in the Army and another four years in the Army National Guard.  He reached the rank of Sergeant and became a commissioned officer in 2003.

Paronto has contracted for Blackwater Security Consulting since 2003.  He holds a master's degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
